- Crisis Intervention Advocates
- Crisis Intervention Advocates provide hotline coverage from their homes or in the New Hope offices, and work with individuals in crisis. Requires 36-40 hours of training.

- Court Advocates
- Court Advocates accompany victims to court, providing
support and information. Crisis Intervention training plus 9 hours of court
training required.
- Safe Homes Providers
- Safe Homes Providers give short-term, 1-3 nights, of shelter to women and their children in need of a safe, nurturing environment. 8 hours of training and a home visit required.
- Staffing
- Staffing our outreach offices in Belfast and Damariscotta on days they are open. Crisis Intervention training required. Court Advocacy Training helpful.
- Transitional Housing Program
- The Transitional Housing Program looks for assistance with child care, gardening and yard work, sorting through donations, furniture repair, transportation, and other odd jobs.
- Transportation
- Assistance with transportation of clients to safe homes, shelters, and court is helpful. Access to a vehicle and clean driving record required.
Committee Service
- Board of Directors
- The Board of Directors develops an organizational plan, sets policy, oversees the budget, and assists in fundraising.
Board Application
- Finance Committee
- The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending to the Board financial procedures, allocation of agency funds, and investments. In addition, committee members review financial statements, audit results, and assist the Executive Director in presentations to funding sources.
- Quality Assurance
- The Quality Assurance Commitee reviews and recommends safety and program policies for Board consideration.
- Fundraising Committee
- The Fundraising Committee organizes the agency's annual fundraising plan and events. Volunteers are always needed to help with events.
Community Education
- Information Dissemination
- Information Dissemination involves postering throughout Waldo, Knox and Lincoln Counties, providing outreach information to town offices, hospitals, doctors' & dentists' offices, police stations, and sheriff departments. Access to a vehicle is necessary.
- Staffing
- Staffing booths at community fairs and events.
Administrative Assistance
- General Office Work
- Administrative duties include answering phones in the administrative office, data entry, and mailing preparations.
